Shri R.M.Agarwal, DDG(NT) is an Indian Telecommunication Services officer of the 1986 batch and is presently working as Deputy Director General (Networks and Technologies) in the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. He has also been designated as the Central Coordinating Officer from the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, to coordinate with Government and Industry for IPV6 migration in the country. He has also been nominated as Convener of recently formed India IPv6 Task Force for implementation of IPV6 in India including pilot projects across various sectors. He was earlier functioning as DDG(SA) in the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, which is the telecom standardization body of Government of India, where he was responsible for IPV4 to IPV6 migration in the country and IPTV standards. He was responsible for bringing out the IPv6 policy document “National IPv6 Deployment Roadmap” for India in July 2010.
